What launched
Claude For Legal is a full vertical product, not a chat wrapper. The release has four parts: practice-area plugins, MCP connectors, an open-source ecosystem, and access-to-justice initiatives. Each part is independently deployable. Each integrates with the legal team's existing stack rather than asking the team to migrate to a Claude-only workflow.
The twelve plugins
The plugins are organized by practice area: Commercial Legal, Corporate Legal (with M&A diligence and closing checklists built in), Employment Legal, Privacy Legal, Product Legal, Regulatory Legal, AI Governance Legal, IP Legal, and Litigation Legal. Each plugin is engineered around the specific document types and decision artefacts the practice area uses every day.
Why it matters for IP work
The IP Legal plugin handles the workflow that Rhone, Nebula's IP platform, complements: patent prosecution drafting, prior-art search, office-action responses, and trademark filing. Where Claude For Legal handles the language and document workflow, Rhone scores defensibility, runs the three-approach valuation reconciliation (income, market, cost), and architects IP-collateralized financing. They compose.
